On 14 July 2025, Mr. Gardphajon Udomdhammabhakdi, Governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), with Mr. SAKUDO Shunsuke, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Thailand Office, and Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General, Acting for Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), signed the Record of Discussions of the Third Country Training Program (TCTP) to organize the training course entitled “MRTA Experience Sharing on Urban Rail Development, Operation and Maintenance” at Meeting Room 1, 9th Floor, Building 1, MRTA.Mr. Gardphajon Udomdhammabhakdi, MRTA Governor, said that MRTA is very pleased to be a part of the Third Country Training Program (TCTP), which is a collaboration between the Japanese government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Thai government through the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and MRTA to provide training scholarships to other.....
MRTA received the Excellent Level Award for the “Corruption Risk Management System: CRMS Qualitative Assessment” from the Office of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission
Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) received an award for the “Corruption Risk Management System: CRMS Qualitative Assessment” for the fiscal year 2024 at the Excellent: E (Excellent) level in the category of “Budget Expenditure, Procurement of a Centralized Data Management System” from the Office of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC).In fiscal year 2024, there were 423 agencies that were assessed, and MRTA received an assessment score of 80 out of 100, which is at the Excellent: E (Excellent) level, for the second consecutive year, demonstrating MRTA’s commitment to operating with transparency and to emphasizing prevention and reduction of the risk of corruption within the organization.
MRTA discusses with the Thai Blind Association to create a travel map for the visually impaired on the MRT Purple Line to effectively respond to users
On June 6, 2025, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations), Acting Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), revealed the progress of the M.R.T. Chalong Ratchadham Line (MRT Purple Line)’s map for the visually impaired passengers pursuant to the ruling of the Supreme Administrative Court. MRTA has coordinated with the Thailand Association of the Blind (TAB) and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), as the concessionaire for the train service operation, to design and produce additional maps for the visually impaired passengers at all 16 MRT Purple Line stations to meet relevant standards, including producing additional media such as audio navigation systems, as recommended by TAB. In addition, MRTA intends to develop facilities for the visually impaired passengers in other MRT lines to be complete and comprehensive. MRTA Board of Directors inspect construction sites of the MRT Purple Line Project, Contract 4, to follow up its progress
Mr. Montri Dechasakulsom, Chairman of the Board of Directors of
Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), along with MRTA directors executives, visited Launch Shaft 1
construction sites at Somdech Phra Pin Klao Hospital Station of the MRT Purple
Line Project: Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section, Contract 4: Memorial Bridge – Dao Khanong Section, to
inspect the construction of the underground station structure and the tunneling
work, as well as to inspect the implementation of construction safety measures
and environmental impact prevention and mitigation measures in accordance with
the policy of the Ministry of Transport, which places importance on
construction standards and supervision measures that take into account the
highest level of safety.

the MRT Purple Line Project has both elevated and underground structures, the

MRTA and the Department of Medical Services, through the National Cancer Institute sign an MOA on the project to develop public health service in the MRT system area to promote public access to the state public health system by public transportation
On
23 April 2025, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations) and Acting Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of
Thailand (MRTA), Gp. Capt. Dr. Somchai Thanasitthichai,
Director of the National Cancer Institute, jointly signed a Memorandum of
Agreement on the project to develop public health service in MRT system area at
Meeting Room 1, 9th Floor, Building 1, MRTA.
This signing of the MOA is due to the National
Cancer Institute’s plan to expand the cancer risk
screening clinic service to accommodate the continuously increasing number of
service users. The institute considered that MRTA’s MRT areas, both those currently in service and those to be in
service in the future, are potential areas because the routes cover Bangkok and
its vicinity area, allowing people to access such services conveniently. In this regard, both agencies will jointly study, survey, and
set models for improving public health service areas, as well as provide other
related.....
MRTA receives an Outstanding Official Information Center Award
On
April 25, 2025, Mr. Thanom
Ratanasate, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), on behalf of MRTA received
an Outstanding Official Information Center Award 2024 from
the Office of the Information Commission, the Office of the Permanent
Secretary, the Prime Minister's Office. The award was
handed over by Miss Jiraporn
Sindhuprai, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office at Santi
Maitri Building, Government House.
The award is a recognition of government agencies
that have disclosed official information transparently and in accordance with
the Official Information Act B.E. 2540. MRTA is one of 14 agencies that received
the Award in 2024 at the Very Good level (Silver
Shield). 18 agencies received the Good level award (Bronze Shield) and 49 agencies
received the Standard level award (Clear Shield).

Akewanlop, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit
Authority of Thailand (MRTA), on
behalf of MRTA, welcomed Associate Professor Dr. Quanchai
Leepowpanth, 2nd Vice
President of the Council of Engineers, and management team
from the Council on a study visit to the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line and the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun - Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek
Road) Section of MRTA.
On this occasion, the group attended a presentation
on the MRT project and visited the actual operation inside the operation
control center of the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line. Then, they
visited the Parliament House Station (PP17) of
the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun - Rat
Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section
to see the progress of the project's construction and exchange knowledge on
technology and innovation in rail engineering, which will be beneficial to the
development of future MRT projects.
