Nakhon Ratchasima Mass Transit Project

The route alignment


            The route starts at Saveone Market, on the inbound to Nakhon Ratchasima city, along Mittraphap Road, passing the Pak Thong Chai intersection. It then slide right, following the railway, heading along Suep Siri Soi 6 Road. It turns left across the railway, then turns right at Wat Mai Amphawan, following Mukkamontri Road, passing Phumirak Park, Nakhon Ratchasima Railway Station, and the Ha Yaek Hua Rot Fai. At this point, the route splits into two paths : Outbound Route : Follows Pho Klang Road until in front of the Thao Suranari Monument. It then turns left onto Rajadamnern Road (along the moat side) until the Thao Suranari Monument intersection (Rajadamnern Road intersects Highway No. 224). Then, it turns right onto Highway No. 224, passing Muang Nakhonratchasima School, Suranaree Witthaya School, and Wat Samakkhi. It turns left at the Suranarai intersection (Highway No. 224 intersects Highway No. 205), heading along Suranarai Road, passing Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, finally terminates at the Ban Naree Sawat Protection and Occupational Development Center. Return Route: From the Ban Naree Sawat Protection and Occupational Development Center to the Thao Suranari Monument intersection, it uses the same route as the outbound route. From there, it uses Chumphon Road and Jomsurangyard Road until the Ha Yaek Hua Rot Fai, then uses the same route as the outbound journey back to Saveone Market.

Current Status


             The Commission for the Management of Land Traffic (CMLT) Meeting No. 1/2024 on December 232024, resolved in principle to approve the MRTA to change the route alignment of the Nakhon Ratchasima Mass Transit System Project, from the Green Line to the Orange Line (Thepparat Hospital - Jor Hor Interchange Station) to align with the resolution of the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Subcommittee for Land Traffic System Management. Currently, MRTA is preparing the procurement for the consultanat to conduct the feasibility study.
