Background

     MRTA Chalong Ratchadham Line Construction began in 2009 as an elevated runway structure throughout the line. Construction was completed and officially opened for service in August 2016.

     Starting route from Klong Bang Pai area, Bang Yai junction then across Chaopraya river at Phra Nang Klao Bridge and pass Nonthaburi junction, Wongsawang intersection, Taopoon junction to Bang Sue.Elevated structure, total about 23 Km., 16 stations


Alignment

     This route is 23 kilometers long and has 16 stations with elevated structure through out stations. The project starts from Bang Yai, a northwestern district of Bangkok, then crosses under the Chao Phraya River at Phra Nang Klao Bridge then goes along Ratana Thibed Road to Nonthaburi Intersection and Wongsawang Intersection. Next, the route runs along Pracharat Road and merges with the Blue Line (Bang Sue-Tha Phra Section) at Tao Poon Intersection. It then merges with the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line at Bang Sue Station at the end of this section.
