Chalong Ratchadham Line (THE PURPLE LINE)

The route alignment


             The route starts from Khlong Bang Phai on Kanchanaphisek Road (Western Outer Ring Road), heading south along Kanchanaphisek Road, then turning left onto Rattanathibet Road, crossing the Chao Phraya River with the tracks running along to Phra Nang Klao Bridge, passing in front of the Nonthaburi Civic Center, then slides right near Khae Rai Intersection onto Tiwanon Road, then turning left onto Krungthep - Nonthaburi Road, continuing to Pracharat Road, and ending at Tao Poon Intersection, which is a joint station for the Blue Line and Purple Line MRT projects.

Depot and Park&Ride Building

         -   The Depot is located on Kanchanaphisek Road, near Khlong Bang Phai Station.

         -   The Park&Ride Building is located at Khlong Bang Phai Station (capacity : 1,986 vehicles), at Sam Yaek Bang Yai Station (capacity : 1,296 vehicles), at Bang Rak Noi Tha It Station (capacity : 1,076 vehicles) and at Yaek Nonthaburi 1 Station (capacity : 565 vehicles)

         -   Ridership Forecast on the service launching date = 220,116 passenger - trips/day
