Current Status             Currently, MRTA is reviewing of the Terms of Reference (TOR) and related documents for the procurement of consultants to study the detailed feasibility of the project. However, a significant factor affecting the project's viability is the development of connectivity with the High-Speed Rail Project (Bangkok - Phitsanulok - Chiang Mai section) of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). Furthermore, based on the results of the feasibility study for developing a comprehensive and seamlessly integrated rail network across the country to support multimodal transport (R-map) by the Department of Rail Transport (DRT), the High-Speed Rail Project Phase 1 (Bangkok - Phitsanulok section) is categorized under the mid-term plan (2028 - 2032). Therefore, MRTA needs to consider incorporating the aforementioned High-Speed Rail Project plan into the implementation of the Phitsanulok Mass Transit System Project (Red Line) to ensure consistency. The route alignment             The route starts from Phitsanulok University, heading north along Highway No. 126, passing Phitsanulok Bus Terminal 2. It then converges with Highway No. 12 at the Indochina Intersection. From there, it slide left to run along Highway No. 12, passing Phitsanulok Bus Terminal 1, Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan, finally terminates at the CentralPlaza Phitsanulok.
