Current Status
The Commission for the Management of Land Traffic (CMLT) Meeting No. 1/2024 on December 23, 2024, resolved in principle to approve the MRTA to change the route alignment of the Nakhon Ratchasima Mass Transit System Project, from the Green Line to the Orange Line (Thepparat Hospital - Jor Hor Interchange Station) to align with the resolution of the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Subcommittee for Land Traffic System Management. Currently, MRTA is preparing the procurement for the consultanat to conduct the feasibility study.
Current Status

MRTA received the Excellent Level Award for the “Corruption Risk Management System: CRMS Qualitative Assessment” from the Office of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission
Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) received an award for the “Corruption Risk Management System: CRMS Qualitative Assessment” for the fiscal year 2024 at the Excellent: E (Excellent) level in the category of “Budget Expenditure, Procurement of a Centralized Data Management System” from the Office of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC).In fiscal year 2024, there were 423 agencies that were assessed, and MRTA received an assessment score of 80 out of 100, which is at the Excellent: E (Excellent) level, for the second consecutive year, demonstrating MRTA’s commitment to operating with transparency and to emphasizing prevention and reduction of the risk of corruption within the organization.
MRTA receives an Outstanding Official Information Center Award
On
April 25, 2025, Mr. Thanom
Ratanasate, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), on behalf of MRTA received
an Outstanding Official Information Center Award 2024 from
the Office of the Information Commission, the Office of the Permanent
Secretary, the Prime Minister's Office. The award was
handed over by Miss Jiraporn
Sindhuprai, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office at Santi
Maitri Building, Government House.
The award is a recognition of government agencies
that have disclosed official information transparently and in accordance with
the Official Information Act B.E. 2540. MRTA is one of 14 agencies that received
the Award in 2024 at the Very Good level (Silver
Shield). 18 agencies received the Good level award (Bronze Shield) and 49 agencies
received the Standard level award (Clear Shield).
The launching ceremony of the tunnel boring machine for the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun - Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section - Contract 4, accelerating the project implementation according to the Ministry of Transport’s policy
civil works progress at the end of December
2024 is 47.95 percent, against the planned progress of 40.10 percent and is scheduled to open for service within 2029. Total seven tunnel boring machines are used in underground
railway construction for this the project, two for the Contract 4:
Memorial Bridge – Dao Khanong Section uses. The two tunnel boring machines are driven from Somdech Phra
Pinklao Hospital Station to Memorial Bridge Station and they will be lifted up
and move to this launching shaft again. After that, they
will be driven to Cut & Cover area where is a transition between the
underground railway and elevated railway heading to Dao Khanong Station. The 2 tunnel boring machine is the earth pressure balance
technology which is a system for controlling the balance of pressure during
drilling and is suitable for soft soil conditions of Bangkok......
MRTA receives Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2024
On
October 9, 2024, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations) Acting Governor of Mass Rapid
Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) received
EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2024 from Office of Natural Resources and
Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP). The
awards were given by Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on,
Minister of Natural Resources and Environment in the EIA Symposium and
Monitoring Awards 2024 Awarding Ceremony at Grand Richmond Hotel, Nonthaburi
Province.
MRTA
received the excellent award for the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line (Hua Lamphong - Bang Sue Section) and outstanding awards for the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line (Bang Sue – Tha Phra Section)
and the M.R.T. Chalong
Ratchadham Line. MRTA supervised the operation of the MRT
lines and got cooperation from BEM, as a concessionaire, to operate in
compliance with measures in EIA reports. The award
reflects the performance of MRTA, which places importance on the MRT operation complying.....
MRTA wins Best Transportation Influencer Campaign in the Brand and Agency Awards category
Mass
Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA)
won the Best Transportation Influencer Campaign in the Brand and Agency Awards
category for the second consecutive year from the Thailand Influencer Awards
2024 Awarding Ceremony. Mr. Yuthasak
Chuenjai, Director of Business Development Department, on behalf of MRTA received
the award at MCC HALL, The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi, Bangkok.
The
award is given to agencies and organizations that create and present contents
which drives society and the economy to be better known and recognized by the
public. The winners were considered by a panel of judges
who are experts in marketing, advertising, and branding, both Thai and foreign,
including famous people from associations and national agencies, such as
presidents of the Digital Advertising Association (Thailand) and the Marketing Association of Thailand, etc. MRTA
has used the influencer marketing strategy in marketing communication through
the online media campaign “MRTA.....
MRTA signs a contract for hiring the project management and construction supervision consultant for the MRT Orange Line Project: Bang Khun Non - Min Buri (Suwinthawong) Section
On
December 2, 2024, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations), Acting Governor of the Mass
Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA),
presided over the signing ceremony of the contract for the project management
and construction supervision consultant (Project
Consultant) for the MRT Orange Line Project:
Bang Khun Non - Min Buri (Suwinthawong) Section, between MRTA and the PCOR consulting group at Meeting
Room 2, 9th floor, MRTA Office Building.
Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol said that “MRTA organizes
the contract signing ceremony to mark the beginning of joint operations. The PCOR consulting group consists of (1) MAA Consultants Co., Ltd. (Lead
firm), (2) Index
International Group Public Company Limited, (3) Chotichinda Consultants Co., Ltd., (4) Thai Transit
Solutions Co., Ltd., (5) Egis Transportation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., (6) Alana Engineering Co.,
Ltd., and (7) International
Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd.,
with a budget of 4,322,000,000 baht”.
Deputy Minister of Transport inspects the operations of the agencies under his supervision of in Chiang Mai Province
On 28
November 2024, Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of
Transport, together with Miss. Napattra Kamonraksa,
Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Transport, Mr. Sorapong
Paitoonphong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport (Head of Transport Mission Group), and Mr. Pichet Kunathamaraks, Director-General of
the Department of Rail Transport, inspected the operations of the agencies
under the supervision of the Deputy Minister of Transport in Chiang Mai
Province. Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol,
Deputy Governor (Operations), Acting
Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and MRTA executives also joined the visit.
The
group visited Chiang Mai Railway Station to survey the route of the Chiang Mai
