Background
According to the meeting held on June 10th, 2015, the Commission for the Management of Land Traffic (CMLT) has approved the Development Guidelines on the Regional Mass Transit System (Nakhon Ratchasima) and assigned the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) to study the Traffic and Public Transport Master Plan of Nakhon Ratchasima. On February 21st, 2018, the CMLT has approved the Traffic and Public Transport Master Plan of Nakhon Ratchasima as proposed by OTP and has endorsed the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) in corporate with OTP to undertake the project implementation with one route at a time bases on the priority basis. Subsequently, OTP has submitted the project priority instruction which would initially start with the Green Line.

Alignment The Project alignment is north – south direction, it starts from Nakornping Hospital as at grade level running along Chotana Road (Highway No.107) until Chiang Mai Court Intersection then make right turn to along Somphot Chiangmai 700th Anniversary Road until 700th Anniversary Chiangmai Sports Complex Intersection cross irrigation canal, make left turn to irrigation canal road to Nong Ho Intersection then left turn along Nong Ho Road (Highway No.1366) until Pha Muang Army. At this point the route line will change from at grade level to underground level with right turn along Chotana Road passing under Khuang Singh Intersection along Chang Phueak Road, passing ChiangMai Rajabhat University until Manee Nopparat Road (Road along external Ku Muang Road at the northern side) then make right turn to Hua Lin Corner, left turn along Bun Rueang Rit road passing Maharat Nakorn Chiangmai Hospital until Ku Hueang Corner along Mahidol road (Highway No.1141) until Chiang Mai.....
Background
Regarding to the Land Traffic Management Committee’s resolution on the first meeting on February 21st, 2018, the committee agree with Master plan and its feasibility’s results presented by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) to precede Chiang Mai public transport system under Public Private Partnership scheme (PPP). The committee also assigned MRTA to implement the master plan one route at a time by selecting the red line as a first project with the combination of underground and at grade level route.
CharacteristIcs
Alignment The project starts at Phuket International Airport. Running along the highway No. 4031, the structure will be elevated. Therefrom, the alignment will be lowered to the at-grade on the highway No. 4026 and continue its path through the highway No. 402, heading toward to Phuket city. After that, the alignment will be lowered to underground level approximately 3 kilometers at Thalang district, before lifted back to the ground level normally and pass Thao Thep Krasattri and Thao Sri Sunthon Monument (The Two Heroines Monument), Phuket bus terminal, Phuket Municipality and Phuket Road, before crossing the Thepsrisin Bridge in order to enter into Chao Fa (East) Road (the highway No. 4021) and terminating its route at Chalong Intersection with the total distance of 42 kilometers.Structure Almost alignment will be at-grade structure, but some parts will be underground structure, at Thalang station, and elevated structure, at Phuket International.....
