BMA and MRTA inspects the readiness of traffic management for the construction of the MRT Orange Line Project: Bang Khun Non - Thailand Cultural Centre Section
Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, along with Mr. Wisanu Subsompon Deputy Governor of Bangkok, visited the construction site of the MRT Orange Line Project: Bang Khun Non - Thailand Cultural Centre Section. They were welcomed and led to inspect traffic management for the construction of the MRT Orange Line Project: Bang Khun Non - Thailand Cultural Centre Section by Mr. Kittikorn Tanpao, Deputy Governor (Engineering and Construction) of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand as the project director.
Mr. Kittikorn Tanpao said that “currently, the MRT Orange Line Project has started to divert traffic lane in the construction area of the 5 stations: Bang Khun Non Station, Siriraj Station, Democracy Monument Station, Yommarat Station, and Pratunam Station, from 10:00 p.m. on November 15, 2024, for public utilities relocation work, relocating sidewalks in some areas, and electrical installation work, by closing 1 left lane, except for Siriraj Station, which does not.....
MRTA’s 32nd year anniversary with the concept “Go Green Grow Together”, continuing the mission to develop MRT network to provide sustainable urban travel

August 21, 2024, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) celebrated its 32nd anniversary,
reinforcing the concept of “Go Green Grow Together”, continuing its mission to develop and expand the mass rapid
transit network in urban areas for connecting rail-road-river to develop seamless transportation for urban life and
carrying on operations with care and social and environmental responsibility in
all dimensions through using “Green
Construction” processes to construct “Green Transportation” constructed by “Green Office” organization for
building sustainable “Green Society” for
all people. Mr. Sorapong Paitoonphong,
Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport (Chief
of Transportation Group), Mr. Pichet
kunathamaraks Director-General of the Department of Rail
Transport, and executives of public and private organizations attended the
anniversary event to congratulate MRTA. The guests were

MRTA receives an honorary award at an opening ceremony of 43rd San Jai Thai Su Jai Tai
On October 2, 2024, Mr. Tanom
Rattanasate, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), on behalf of MRTA received an
honorary award for supporting the operations of the “San
Jai Thai Su Jai Tai” Foundation from General Surayud
Chulanont, President of the Foundation, at the opening ceremony of the 43rd San Jai Thai Su Jai Tai at Army Club, Vibhavadi, Bangkok.
MRTA together with Chulalongkorn University organizes activities to present research results on the use of AI to detect, warn, and prevent MRT right of way intrusion in order to raise the level of security in the MRT system area
According to the government and Ministry of
Transport have provided policies related to research and development of
technology and innovation, focusing on the use of AI (Artificial
Intelligent) systems as a tool for developing
infrastructure to improve public services, in response to such policies, in
fiscal year 2024, MRTA and Chulalongkorn University Academic Service Center,
Chulalongkorn University, have jointly conducted a research study on the topic
of "Development of an AI system
to detect, warn, and prevent MRT right of way intrusion". The
main objectives are to assess risk of intrusion in MRT system area and to
develop a detection and alert system using AI technology to detect, analyze and
classify intrusion incidents in the risk areas. The system
developed by MRTA and Chulalongkorn University can be used as a tool to support
operations in maintaining the right of way, inspecting and maintaining
security, and maintaining peace and order to reduce direct and.....
“Happy Retirement Day with MRTA 2024”, giving away MRT PLUS cards to promote MRT use among retirees
Business
Development Department of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) held a marketing and customer
relations activity “Happy Retirement Day with MRTA 2024” between September 1-30, 2024, to promote
the use of the mass rapid transit system among retirees by giving away 300 Baht
MRT PLUS Senior cards to employees retiring in the fiscal year
2024 of business partners and government agencies which are MRTA’s
stakeholders, including Ministry of Public Health, Thai Red Cross Society,
Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, The Government Public Relations Department, and
Nonthaburi Municipality, totaling 520 cards.
Such an activity is part of the project to provide
benefits and activities to promote the use MRT services to help promote good
relationships between MRTA and customer. MRTA provides a
variety of benefits and activities that are consistent with consumer behavior
to meet the needs and expectations of MRTA's important stakeholder groups,.....

On
July 10, 2024, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations), Acting Governor of MRTA, participated
in the press conference of the National Engineering Fair 2024, which was
organized under the concept of "Driving
Sustainability Responsiveness" at Queen
Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok.
In
addition, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol also
participated in a dialogue on “Driving the country’s economic geography advantage with urban engineering and mass
transit systems”, mentioning MRTA’s advancement
in railway system engineering, MRTA’s
participation in the development of national engineering through the knowledge
and innovations in mass rapid transit system that MRTA has gained from over 3
decades operations experience in order to further develop the knowledge for new generation engineers and those in the engineering industry, and
update on the progress of MRTA’s MRT projects. Moreover, MRTA also set up a booth to publicize information on

Meeting Room 2, 9th Floor, Building 1, MRTA. The

MRTA presents MRT network and updates MRTA’s projects information in Asia Pacific Rail 2024
Mass Rapid Transit Authority of
Thailand (MRTA) as an agency
supervising the operation of MRT projects in Bangkok Metropolitan Region participated
in Asia Pacific Rail 2024 - an exhibition and academic conference
on rail systems in the Asia Pacific Region, at Bangkok International Trade and
Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok. The event was organized to showcase rail services and
operations in digital form, participated by government agencies, organizations,
railway system agencies, train operators, contractors and technology and
solutions providers in the global rail industry.
On
this occasion, Mrs. Raveewan Phongsupatsamit, Director of
M&E System Department and Mr. Nuttapat Ounhakongka,
Director of Operations Department participated as a
lecturer on the topic “PROJECT UPDATE: MRTA
Project Updates and Operation Trends”, presenting the
progress of the MRT projects implementation and operations of the MRTA's MRT
system. They also participated in an exhibition.....

On
April 2, 2024, Mr. Kittikorn Tanpao, Deputy Governor (Engineering and Construction) of Mass
Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) together
with Mr. Sarot T.Suwan, Deputy
Governor (Strategy and Planning) of
MRTA welcomed the Committee on Transportation, led by Mr. Krumanit
Sangphum, Chairman of the Committee to the MRTA operation monitoring meeting at
Meeting Room 1, 9th Floor, MRTA, and to visit the MRT Yellow Line: Lat Phrao – Samrong Section at the yellow
line’s depot where representatives of the line’s concessionaire joined MRTA to welcome the committee.
On
this occasion, MRTA presented MRTA’s overall MRT project
implementation, and exchanged knowledge and experience
with and received suggestion from the delegation to be used as a guideline for
improving operational efficiency and facilitating travel for the public.
MRTA and Defence Technology Institute sign an MOU on developing knowledge and creating innovations in security in the MRT system
On
June 10, 2024, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations) and Acting Governor of Mass
Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and
Gp.Capt. Komson Prapunkarn, Deputy
Director of Defence Technology Institute and Acting Director of Defence
Technology Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in
research and development of knowledge and innovation in security
and order maintenance in the mass rapid transit system at
Defence Technology Institute. The signing ceremony was
presided by Gen. Porpol Maneerin, Chairman of Defence
Technology Institute.

under MRTA’s responsibility are open for service namely
the M.R.T. Chaloem
Ratchamongkhon Line (MRT Blue Line),

Phiphat Line (MRT Yellow Line), and
the MRT Pink Line: Khae Rai – Min

MRTA receives “Platinum Class Plaque of Honor”, the highest level award for the 4th consecutive year from the Zero Accident Campaign 2024
Mass
Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), represented by Mr. Tanom Ratanasate, MRTA
Assistant Governor received “Platinum Class Plaque of
Honor”, the highest level award from Zero Accident Campaign 2024,
which was organized by Thailand Institute of Occupational
Safety and Health (Public Organization),
Ministry of Labor.
The award was given to agencies and
organizations that are committed to preventing occupational accidents or intend
to reduce the statistics of workplace hazards to zero through continuous and
effective planning and management of occupational safety and health and working
environment until being able to prevent and reduce the statistics of accidents
at work.
