MRTA presents MRT network and updates MRTA’s projects information in Asia Pacific Rail 2024 31 May 67 Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) as an agency supervising the operation of MRT projects in Bangkok Metropolitan Region participated in Asia Pacific Rail 2024 - an exhibition and academic conference on rail systems in the Asia Pacific Region, at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok. The event was organized to showcase rail services and operations in digital form, participated by government agencies, organizations, railway system agencies, train operators, contractors and technology and solutions providers in the global rail industry. On this occasion, Mrs. Raveewan Phongsupatsamit, Director of M&E System Department and Mr. Nuttapat Ounhakongka, Director of Operations Department participated as a lecturer on the topic “PROJECT UPDATE: MRTA Project Updates and Operation Trends”, presenting the progress of the MRT projects implementation and operations of the MRTA's MRT system. MRTA welcomes a delegation from Polish Investment and Trade Agency 29 May 67 Mr. Nutt Nakthoranin, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), on behalf of MRTA, welcomed a delegation from Polish Investment and Trade Agency on the occasion of attending the meeting to exchange experiences on the topic of operation and maintenance services of MRT system between MRTA and officials from Asco Rail Poland Company at Meeting Room 1, 9th Floor, Building 1, MRTA. MRTA presented overview information of projects implemented by agencies under the Ministry of Transport, including discussion and exchange of experiences, problems, obstacles, and problem solving to be useful in developing, increasing operational efficiency and facilitating travel for the people.

MRTA welcomes a delegation of government officials and senior executives from National School of Public Policy, Pakistan 28 May 67 Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operation), Acting Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), on behalf of MRTA, welcomed a delegation of government officials and senior executives from National Management Course of National School of Public Policy, Pakistan. MRTA gave a presentation of MRTA’s overall MRT project implementation in Bangkok Metropolitan Region and led the group to visit the MRT operation in Operation Control Centre and Depot of the M.R.T. Chalong Ratchadham Line (the MRT Purple Line). On this occasion, the delegation rode the MRT Purple Line from the Depot to Tao Poon Station to have experience of the MRT system of MRTA. Besides, MRTA and the delegation exchanged knowledge and opinion to be useful in developing, increasing operational efficiency and facilitating travel for the people.

MRTA welcomes the Committee on Transportation to the MRTA operation monitoring meeting and visit the MRT Yellow Line 08 May 67 On April 2, 2024, Mr. Kittikorn Tanpao, Deputy Governor (Engineering and Construction) of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) together with Mr. Sarot T.Suwan, Deputy Governor (Strategy and Planning) of MRTA welcomed the Committee on Transportation, led by Mr. Krumanit Sangphum, Chairman of the Committee to the MRTA operation monitoring meeting at Meeting Room 1, 9th Floor, MRTA, and to visit the MRT Yellow Line: Lat Phrao – Samrong Section at the yellow line’s depot where representatives of the line’s concessionaire joined MRTA to welcome the committee. On this occasion, MRTA presented MRTA’s overall MRT project implementation, and exchanged knowledge and experience with and received suggestion from the delegation to be used as a guideline for improving operational efficiency and facilitating travel for the public.

MRTA assigns contractors to dredge drainpipe and ditches along the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section to increase the efficiency of the drainage system preparing for the rainy season 14 May 67 Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) as the agency responsible for the construction of the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section assigned the civil works contractors to dredge drainpipes and ditches along the project route continuously on a monthly basis to avoid clogged pipe problem and increase the efficiency of the drainage system in the construction site areas from Samsen Road, Phra Sumen Road, Maha Chai Road, Prajadhipok Road, Somdet Phrachao Taksin Road, Suksawat Road and Kru Nai area. MRTA emphasized the monitoring high risk flood area during rainy season and preparing staff and water pumps for assisting people in accordance with the social responsibility policy in giving importance to people and communities along the MRT lines that may be affected by its construction operations.

MRTA and Defence Technology Institute sign an MOU on developing knowledge and creating innovations in security in the MRT system 11 Jun. 67 On June 10, 2024, Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations) and Acting Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and Gp.Capt. Komson Prapunkarn, Deputy Director of Defence Technology Institute and Acting Director of Defence Technology Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in research and development of knowledge and innovation in security and order maintenance in the mass rapid transit system at Defence Technology Institute. The signing ceremony was presided by Gen. Porpol Maneerin, Chairman of Defence Technology Institute. Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations) and Acting Governor of MRTA said that “Currently, 4 MRT lines under MRTA’s responsibility are open for service namely the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line (MRT Blue Line), the M.R.T. Chalong Ratchadham Line (MRT Purple Line), the M.R.T. Nakkhara Phiphat Line (MRT Yellow Line), and the MRT Pink Line: Khae Rai – Min Buri.....

MRTA receives “Platinum Class Plaque of Honor”, the highest level award for the 4th consecutive year from the Zero Accident Campaign 2024 20 Jun. 67 Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), represented by Mr. Tanom Ratanasate, MRTA Assistant Governor received “Platinum Class Plaque of Honor”, the highest level award from Zero Accident Campaign 2024, which was organized by Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Public Organization), Ministry of Labor. The award was given to agencies and organizations that are committed to preventing occupational accidents or intend to reduce the statistics of workplace hazards to zero through continuous and effective planning and management of occupational safety and health and working environment until being able to prevent and reduce the statistics of accidents at work.
