MRTA visits the construction site to inspect safety measures the MRT Pink Line Extension Project and the MRT Purple Line Project, instructing the consulting company and concessionaires/civil contractors to keep the project construction standards for building confidence from the public Mr. Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operation), Acting Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), along with Mr. Kittikorn Tanpao, Deputy Governor (Engineering and Construction) as Chairman of Supervisory Committee for Monitoring and Compliance with Environmental Measures for the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section, visited the construction site to inspect safety measures, traffic management, and measures to reduce the environmental impact of the MRT project, which is one of the issues  that Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Transport and Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of Transport, has always given importance and instructed MRTA to emphasize strictly supervising the operations of concessionaires/contractors. MRTA and the Committee have inspected operations in the construction site of MT01 Muang Thong Thani Station of the MRT Pink Line Extension Project: Si Rat Station - Muang Thong Thani.....
MRTA inspects construction sites of the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), by Environment Division, MRT Project Development Department executed the night audit and inspected the compliance with mitigation measures on environmental impacts in construction sites of the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section from the site of cut and cover tunnel on Tahan Road, station construction sites on Samsen Road, Phra Sumen Road, Maha Chai Road, Chakphet Road, Prajadhipok Road, Somdet Phrachao Taksin Road, and Suksawat Road, and the site of stabling yard adjacent to Bang Khru 3 Toll Plaza of Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli - Suksawat). MRTA inspected the compliance with mitigation measures on environmental impacts as defined in EIA report such as installing 2-meter high fence around the construction site, covering material while waiting to use or move, washing vehicle wheels before leave the site, cleaning the site’s barrier and road by using vacuum sweeper.....
MRTA attends the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on SOOK ASOK On April 3, 2024, Miss Jiranan Vorachak, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), on behalf of MRTA, participated in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on SOOK ASOK and received the certificate of appreciation for supporting SOOK ASOK network, from Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok at Asok-Montri Music and Performing Arts Hall, Floor 4, Prof. Dr. Saroj Buasri Innovation Building, Srinakharinwirot University. SOOK ASOK is a grouping of government and private sector organizations which are located in Asoke area, initiated by Srinakharinwirot University and Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Business Group, to work together to develop Asoke area to be livable in 4 areas: way of life, transport, activity, and environment, through operations to promote, support and integrate resources in the form of plans/projects/activities to develop Asoke area to be livable and enhance quality of life of people.
MRTA welcomes the Senate Standing Committee on Transportation to Wat Mangkon Station, the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line for study visit On April 2, 2024, Miss Jiranan Vorachak, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) together with officers of Department of Operations of MRTA and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) welcomed the Senate Standing Committee on Transportation, led by Gen. Yodyuth Boonyatikarn, Chairman of the Committee to Wat Mangkon Station, The M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line for study visit to follow up the progress of the commercial development around the station. MRTA has included the goal of development of area in mass rapid transit network along with sustainable urban development under the principles of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), in the MRTA Corporate Plan Fiscal Years 2023 – 2027. MRTA focuses on using the station as transport hub and developing the surrounding area for maximum benefit for the community members and business in seeking sustainable income and supporting the growth of future cities.

MRTA and RTRDA sign a MOU on promoting and supporting research and development of railway technology to enhance technological capabilities and create a national industry On March 15, 2024, Mr. Pakapong Sirikantaramas, Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and Dr. Kanrawee Thongpull, Vice President Acting President of Rail Technology Research and Development Agency (RTRDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting and supporting research and development of railway technology to enhance technological capabilities and create a national industry, at Meeting Room 1, Building 1, MRTA.

Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, Mr. Yohann Levasseur Managing Director of Alstom (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Miss Walaiporn Leelawannee, Director of Alstom (Thailand) Co., Ltd., signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding on developing knowledge and innovation in mass rapid transit, at Meeting Room 1, Building 1, MRTA.

This study visit is under the project “Open perspective for the development of the Ministry of Transport missions” organized by the Ministry of Transport which was held to provide information about various projects of agencies under the Ministry of Transport, including the opportunity to meet and exchange knowledge about obstacles and solutions in various fields between each other. On this occasion, MRTA led the group to visit the MRTA Learning Center, which is the center for displaying, disseminating, and publicizing the country's mass rapid transit technology to those interested, and presented knowledge in various fields about the mass rapid transit system, such as history,.....
MRTA and BEM campaigns to create safety awareness among MRT passengers by holding the activity "MRT Safety Share” for the second time Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) hold the activity "MRT Safety Share” for the second time. Pol.Capt. Sirawat Kaewdusit, Director of Security and Rescue Department of MRTA led a group of MRTA Security and Rescue officers and BEM staff to publicize information about dangers that may occur while traveling, such as pickpocketing and sexual harassment and falling off the escalator, as well as recommending methods for preventing incidents and dealing with it at Tao Poon Station.
MRTA gives certificates to contractors with outstanding performance in adhering environmental measures of the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun - Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section Mr. Nutt Nakthoranin, Assistant Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), presided over the awarding of certificates of honor, outstanding awards, and honorable mention awards for contractors of the MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun - Rat Burana (Kanchanapisek Road) Section that have passed inspections of their operations in accordance with environmental measures and have maintained standards of compliance with the measures consistently and outstandingly in 1 year period from January - December 2023. The contactors who have received and accumulated 24 leaves symbol would receive the outstanding awards.
