Background
Phitsanulok Mass Transit System Project (Red Line: Phisanulok University - Central Phisanulok) is one of the transportation system development projects linking main cities in the provincial areas and solving traffic problems from main cities in the provincial areas to Bangkok metropolitan area. The project objects to provide continuous, convenience and safe travel according to the Strategic development of transport infrastructure of Thailand 2015 to 2022 which assigns Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning to feasibility study and preliminary design of Phitsanulok Transit System. The project is divided into 2 phases. The first phase is consisted of 6 routes of 80.5 km. and the second phase is consisted of 2 extension routes and 2 new routes of 30.1 km. The result of the feasibility study recommends to operate the first phase Red Line: Phisanulok University - Central Phisanulok which is the appropriate routes to operate first and the cabinet resolution has already.....

Alignment The Project alignment starts at Save One Market (Mittraparp Road) heading toward the city of Nakhon Ratchasima along Mittraparp Road passing Pak Thong Chai Intersection then turning right along the railway tracks onto Suepsiri Road Soi 6, turning left across the railway tracks along Suebsiri Road. Then the Line turns right at Wat Mai Amphawan to Mookmontri Road passing Bhumirak Park, Talad Roi Phee, Marie Witthaya School, Nakhon Ratchsima Train Station, Hua Rodfai Junction where the Line is diverted into two lines: the inbound line runs along Bho Klang Road until the Memorial Monument of Thao Suranari before turning left along Rajadamnern Road until the Memorial Monument of Thao Suranari Junction (Rajadamnern crossing with Highway no.224) before turning right along Highway no.24 passing Meung Nakhon Ratchasima School, Nakhonratchasima Vocational College, Nakhon Ratchasima Kindergarten, Suranaree Witthaya School and Samakkhi Temple, then turning left at Pra Pa.....

Background
According to the meeting held on June 10th, 2015, the Commission for the Management of Land Traffic (CMLT) has approved the Development Guidelines on the Regional Mass Transit System (Nakhon Ratchasima) and assigned the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) to study the Traffic and Public Transport Master Plan of Nakhon Ratchasima. On February 21st, 2018, the CMLT has approved the Traffic and Public Transport Master Plan of Nakhon Ratchasima as proposed by OTP and has endorsed the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) in corporate with OTP to undertake the project implementation with one route at a time bases on the priority basis. Subsequently, OTP has submitted the project priority instruction which would initially start with the Green Line.
