Alignment The MRT Purple Line Project begins from Tao Pun Station (elevated) which is an interchange station between the M.R.T. Chalong Ratchadham Line and the M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line. Where the route alignment elevates over Khlong Bang Sue then gradually descending to become underground structure passing under the Royal Thai Army Ordnance Department turns right along Thahan Road at the Anti Aircraft Artillery Division, pass Kiak Kai Intersection into Samsen Road passing the new Parliament House, Rajinibon School, Royal Irrigation Department, Vajira Hospital and National Library. The alignment passes under Khlong Bang Lamphu, turns left along Phra Sumen Road, passes Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, Ratchadamnoen Klang Road into Maha Chai Road, passing Wat Rat Natda Ram Worawihan, Romaneenart Park, into Chakphet Road. It then passes under Chao Phraya River at Phrapokklao Bridge to Prajadhipok Road, passing Ban Khaek Intersection, passes under Wong Wian Yai to Somdet Phrachao.....
Background
The Cabinet on the meeting on March 9th, 2010 acknowledged and agreed on the resolutions of the Land Traffic Management Committee meeting on February 8th, 2010 with Bangkok Metropolitan’s Railway Transportation Master Plan. The committee also assigned MRTA to implement the master plan in 10 years (operated within 2019) with 7 lines of the total distance of 154 kilometers. This includes MRT Purple Line Project (Tao Pun - Rat Burana Section) which is under MRTA’s responsibility. Later, the Cabinet on the meeting on July 25th, 2017 assigned MRTA to begin construction MRT Purple Line Project: Tao Pun - Rat Burana (Kanchanaphisek Road) Section’s civil works with the budget of 101,112 million Baht.

Alignment The MRT Brown Line Project, Khae Rai - Lam Sali (Bueng Kum) Section, begins at the Khae Rai Intersection, where it connects with the MRT Purple Line and the MRT Pink Line project. Following that, the project heads along Ngamwongwan Road to Bang Khen intersection to connect with the Red line project and cross Vibhavadi Rangsit Road by under passing the Red Line project and the Uttaraphimuk Elevated Tollway (Don Muang Tollway), travelling to Kaset intersection and lifting across the Green Line project to run continuously along Prasert Manukitch Road, passing through Chalong Rat intersection to connect to the Grey Line project until Nawamin intersection, before turning south along Nawamin Road and approaching the terminal station which can connect to the MRT Oramge Line project, the MRT yellow Line project, project’s park and ride building, and also the depot on Suan Son intersection. The Commission for the Management of Land Traffic (CMLT) Meeting No.1/2019 on January 3, 2019 considered the PPP report of Brown Line Project: Khae Rai – Lam Sali (Bueng Kum) Section which was proceeded by The Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) and had a meeting resolution to assign the OTP to add Brown Line Project into Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan for Bangkok Metropolitan Region Phase 1: M-Map 1 and also assigned the Ministry of Transport to authorize the MRTA as operating agency of the Brown Line Project: Khae Rai – Lam Sali (Bueng Kum) Section.

Alignment The MRT Orange Line Project “Bang Khun Non - Min Buri (Suwinthawong)” is both underground and elevated transit system included within an approximate distance of 35.9 kilometers. The project alignment starts at Bang Khun Non, runs along existing right of way of Bangkok Noi railway, passes Siriraj hospital, crosses under the Chao Phraya river near Somdet Phra Pin Klao bridge, passes under Ratchadamnoen Klang road and continues along Larn Luang road. After that passes though Yommaraj to Phetchaburi road, turns to Ratchaprarop Road and Din Daeng. Then it turns to Vibhavadi Rangsit road, turns right to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration office 2 (Din Daeng), go straight to interchange with the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line at Thailand Cultural Centre station. Next it turns to depot of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) which is located at the current MRTA Office Building. Then it runs along the Rama IX road, turns left into Ramkhamhaeng.....
Background
In the meeting held on 9 March 2010, the cabinet acknowledged the 8 February 2010 meeting approval of Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan in Bangkok Metropolitan Region by Land Traffic Management Commission. The Master Plan requires all related government agencies to implement respective first phase projects within 10 years - all services should be fully operate in 2019 - which consist of 7 MRT lines with a total length of 154 km and MRT Orange Line project is one of them. Line Project (Bang Khun Non – Min Buri (Suwinthawong) Section) (The
Project) as a Public- Private Partnership (PPP) Net Cost scheme. The public
sector will be responsible for land acquisition cost of the MRT Orange Line Project
(West Section: Bang Khun Non – Thailand Cultural Centre), while the private
sector will be invested in the civil works cost of the MRT Orange Line Project.....
