Deputy Minister of Transport pays an inspection visit in Phitsanulok Province to enhance the potential of the transportation system, promote road safety, and follow up on the development of the rail transportation system

On May 9, 2025, Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of Transport, along with
Mr. Montri Tungcharoenthavorn, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Transport, Miss Napattra Kamonraksa, Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Transport, Mr. Sorapong Paitoonphong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, and he paid an inspection visit in Phitsanulok Province to enhance the potential of the transportation system, promote road safety, and follow up on the development of the rail transportation system.

Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of Transport, presided over the opening ceremony of the Road Safety Project for Students and People in Phitsanulok Provinceat Naresuan Hall, Phitsanulok Pittayakom School. On this occasion, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) participated in the exhibition to present information on the Phitsanulok Mass Transit Project (Red Line): Phitsanulok University CentralPlaza Phitsanulok Section, based on the study results of the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP). Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of Transport, stated that the Ministry of Transport has a plan to develop infrastructure to improve the transportation system in various dimensions. It includes the development of the rail transit system, consisting of the development of double-track railways, the development of the high-speed train project, and the development of Phitsanulok Mass Transit Project (Red Line) to create convenience and connectivity within Phitsanulok Province.
