MRTA joins an integrated project for the construction of Siriraj Interchange Station and a new hospital building for facilitating people’s access health service by an efficient public transport

On April 27, 2021, Mr. Saksayam Chidchob, Minister of Transport presided over and witnessed a signing ceremony of MOU on Cooperation for the construction of Siriraj Interchange Station and a new hospital building between Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, State Railway of Thailand, and Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. The ceremony was participated by Mr. Wirat Pimpanit, Advisor to the Minister of Transport; Mrs. Suksomruay Wanthaniyakul, Secretary to the Minister of Transport; Mr. Chayatan Phromsorn, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport; Mr. Pisak Jitviriyavasin, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Chief of Highway Infrastructure Development Group), Ministry of Transport; Mr. Sorapong Paitoonphong, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Chief of Transportation Group), Ministry of Transport, and Acting Director-General, Department of Rail Transport; and representatives of the three organizations; Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital; Mr. Pakapong Sirikantaramas, Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand; and Mr. Ake Sitthiwekin, Deputy Governor of State Railway of Thailand, at Conference Room, 3rd floor, Club and Conference Building, Ministry of Transport.

Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand as an organization responsible for the MRT Orange Line Project is ready to provide cooperation and support in every aspect to ensure smooth and successful implementation of the construction of Siriraj Interchange Station and a new hospital building.
