Starting route from Klong Bang Pai area, Bang Yai junction then across Chaopraya river at Phra Nang Klao Bridge and pass Nonthaburi junction, Wongsawang intersection, Taopoon junction to Bang Sue.Elevated structure, total about 23 Km., 16 stations
This route is 23 kilometers long and has 16 stations with elevated structure through out stations. The project starts from Bang Yai, a northwestern district of Bangkok, then crosses under the Chao Phraya River at Phra Nang Klao Bridge then goes along Ratana Thibed Road to Nonthaburi Intersection and Wongsawang Intersection. Next, the route runs along Pracharat Road and merges with the Blue Line (Bang Sue-Tha Phra Section) at Tao Poon Intersection. It then merges with the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line at Bang Sue Station at the end of this section.

Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanaphisek Outer Ring Road)
The project is an extension of MRT Purple Line : Bang Yai – Tao Pun Section to serve travel demands between Northern and Southern part of Bangkok and vicinities. Its total route length is 23.6 kilometres with 13 kilometres underground structure (10 stations) and 10 kilometres elevated structure (7 stations).
MRT Purple Line Tao Pun – Rat Burana (Kanchanaphisek Outer Ring Road) starts from Elevated Tao Pun Station, then sloped downward beneath Bang Sue Canal to be underground along Thahan Road and Samsen Road, passing New Parliament, Royal Irrigation Department, Vajira Hospital and National Library. Then, the alignment turn left to Phra Sumen Road passing Wat Bawonniwet Vihara, Phan Fah intersection where is the interchange station with Orange Line is located, and Maha Chai Road passing International Learning Centre of Justice and Sam Yod Intersection where the interchange station with Blue Line. After that, the route goes along Chakpet Road crossing under Chao Phraya River to Prachathipok Raod through Wongwian Yai where is the connection with SRT Red Line and BTS sky train. After pass Mahai Sawan intersection, it changes the level to elevated structure along Suk Sawat Road passing Pracha Uthit junction, Rat Burana and Phra Pradaeng junction reaching the depot at Kanchanaphisek Outer Ring Road.
